They say “time flies when you are having fun”
and fun I had this summer.
August was a real beauty with only a few clouds around
most of them being fluffy once.
Summer holidays
always turn my life upside down mostly in a relaxing way,
especially if we are staying at home.
On the days I wasn't working we enjoy long lies
(after a year of 5.30 am school mornings, sleeping until 7.30 is bliss).
Had relaxed yummy breakfasts♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
followed by lazy mornings with nowhere to rush to.
I took a little creative time with fabric & paint ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
making a new cushion
painting & re-covering
this chair
This chair is one of a set of four I found on the street
last year whilst out for coffee with my lovely friend Mereoni (Kula).
Every time I look at this chair it takes me back
to that ever so funny day!!
A priceless memory!
I'm so grateful to have amazing friends,
some of whom may live now half way across the world
but are always in my thoughts!
♡ ♡
Baby paperdoll & I got very creative
concocting all kinds of fresh fruit juice cocktails
to make some rather tasty ice-pop ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Best investment I have made this summer
was buying a few extra ice-pop moulds!
With temperatures hitting in the high thirties
we needed ice pops to keeping us cool!
I loved just drifting through the days &
staying up late gazing into the starry summer sky.
We just did whatever tickles our fancy♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
deciding in the spur of the moment.
I soooooo enjoy these days with no routine
glorious weather, yummy cold refreshments
and just living in the moment, what’s not to love?!
Most fun things come to an end much to soon
and with school starting yesterday our drifting days are over.
So it’s back to our new/old daily routine, it’s not all bad
as having routine back makes me appreciate & cherish
the lazy days much more when they happen.
I wonder what adventures you have in store for me?
I wishing you all a wonderful start to September wherever you may be!!!!
